The Flood was an event that occurred and was in the Old Testament. This event took place in what the Bible describes as an age of chaos. In Noah's time living and mingling with disobedient people, many humans were selfish, partying in life. It makes them far from God, but Noah chose not to be the same as other people. He is choosing to live a pious life. That is why God said in Bible that He was a righteous man before God. When God him that everything on earth will destroy by the flood. God told him to build an ark, and what was even amazing was Noah without questioning anything. He chose to be faithful to do what God commanded him and did it. That is evidence of obedience to God. Several things are essential from this story that I can take, namely: Loyalty to God will see in our obedience which is driven by love for God because He loves us with unconditional love by dying on the cross to redeem us from sin. Obeying God is certainly not a compulsion, in the other one, it is our choice. Like the people who lived in Noah's day, they preferred to live in sin, they chose not to listen to God's voice through Noah, and even they said that Noah was crazy when Noah's told them what was going to happen. This lesson for us is when we get a warning or advice, we tend to see it as something meaningless, so we often ignore it, and in the end, we lose. In our sins, God still loves to rebuke or advise us through God's Word or those closest to us, but often we don't pay attention to it even though all the advice is for our good. From Noah, we learn how to be someone who cares about the commandments and follows them faithfully. Especially in today's era where many people are experiencing a moral crisis, they are more concerned with themselves. Let's choose to be different from the world. Let us have a sincere heart to obey God with love. God has planned the best for every human being, so there is no reason for us to hesitate to trust God and His commands. God loves us.
